Survey - The Hard Water and Eczema Link

Did you know that it has been shown that there is a link between eczema and psoriasis and the quality of the domestic water supply?

At Lifescience we conducted a study amongst 50 psoriasis and eczema sufferers who have installed a Water King water conditioner. The results are amazing.

Types of Skin Complaint

All our interviewees owned their own home and lived in hard water areas. 100% of those surveyed noticed an improvement. Over half (53%) of the sample suffered from eczema and one third (36%) from psoriasis. 11% complained of different problems, including dry skin, non-specific dermatitis and osteoarthritis.

Symptoms:

• All respondents clearly suffer considerable distress as a result of their condition
• 24% experiencing eruptions all over their body
• 12% suffering from regular soreness and flaky patches
• All areas of the body are affected
• 14% found problems centred on scalp
• 10% found problems centred on arms and legs
• 20% found problems centred on their hands
• Dryness in particular is exacerbated by hard water.

How Has Installing a Water King Helped?

The question on symptom relief generated a positive response with 100% of those surveryed noticing an improvement. 11% of those had seen a change stating that their symptoms had completely disappeared.

50% felt their symptoms had been 'significantly reduced' and 39% had seen a 'moderate' reduction in their symptoms.

80% found a number of improvements to their home. These improvements varied from a reduction in limescale deposits to better tasting tea.
